The good and the bad

The good:

The porch railing is painted and looking pretty.

The bad:

Nine years is all it took for the full bipartisan support of this little bill to help destroy our countries banking system. Our politicians approved it, our corporations ran with it and here we are on the brink of a financial meltdown that has the potential to bring the country to it's knees. I've never been more worried about anything in my whole life.

It's scary. I know my vote isn't going to matter, because Obama is going to get the Michigan vote, cuz that's just how it is in a liberal state. However, I must vote. It's a conscience thing.

What sucks is that McCain seems to be ignoring the economic problems, and he has never been my choice. My candidate couldn't get primary votes largely because he is Mormon - God bless the American way of prejudice; and I will *never* support Huckabee because he advocates that prejudice.

I adamantly disagree with Obama on some issues that are very important to me, and that could be very costly, and unjustly so, to the average taxpayer. It seems to be more of a Democrat way of thinking that throwing more money at it will solve the problem. I know, it's funny how I say that after recent financial bail-outs, but I'm keeping healthcare in mind - money doesn't fix abuse. Politicians don't seem to get that it's the abuse of healthcare and other programs that is costing us so much.

I'm thinking Nader is more my style... Grrr. I was right, though. We are experiencing problems that originated under Bush's predecessors. No matter who would've won the last Presidential election, these problems were already brewing, and they've been brewing for a long time. The diehard party devotees are greatly unwilling to admit this, but Democrats AND Republicans are at fault. Unfortunately, people are only willing to vote for the very parties who are creating our problems.

lol - I wrote this after reading three blogs bringing up politics, and several posts on your blog. ;-)

BTW, Glen, I don't like how you list "Triathlete" on your blog, first. ;-)
